About Craig Averill

1421693631_CA picAn experienced entertainment lawyer, Craig Averill served four years as a founding partner in the New York City firm of Sciorra, Leaness, Averill & Rubenstein. He currently provides legal counsel to clients with a transactional music business practice that is based at Serling, Rooks, Ferrara, McKoy & Worob, LLP. Prior to practicing law, Craig Averill managed the independent record label Gypsy Records. He also executive-produced a number of Gypsy recording projects including an album for the music industry charity the Red Hot Organization.

Outside of the professional arena, Craig Averill is a dedicated father who enjoys surfing with his family. A “tin type” photo of him and his children taken by acclaimed surf photographer Joni Sternbach was recently featured on the official website of ABC News and is due to be featured in her upcoming book Surf Site Tin Type. Mr. Averill is also practices mixed martial arts. He currently trains at “Tiger” Schulmann’s Chelsea studio.
